We know that change is the only constant.
Change can be due to external or internal factors. Examples of external factors that cause change at the College are adjustments in our market place or regulatory landscapes. Internal factors that cause change can be the College introducing new operations or improving existing operations. Regardless of the cause, all change disrupts the normal course of business and requires foundational business capabilities to help manage. When planning for change, the College has to be able to do the following:
• Define the change
• Understand the impact of the change – people, process, and technology
• Design a response or solution
• Operationalize the change across its many unique departments
• Control the change by making sure the solution is embedded in ongoing operations
Developing these business capabilities is imperative for Baylor’s continued growth and success.
