Project Management refers to the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to meet project requirements.
When projects are managed properly, teams are united, there is a transparent vision for success and everyone is on the same page of what is required to stay on track and be successful. Essentially, project management is about delivering a timely output (making sure it’s done!) that provides a change or benefit for Baylor.
A project is:
- A temporary effort undertaken to develop a unique product, service or result
- Has an established beginning and end time
- Has a set of defined tasks and assigned resources
Project management is one part of the overall equation to creating sustainable performance improvement.
