The Consolidated Research Facility contains 16,400 square feet of state-of-the-art laboratory, office and meeting space. It is the headquarters for the National Space Biomedical Research Institute and Baylor College of Medicine's Center for Space Medicine.
The CRF is located in the Bioscience Research Collaborative on the Rice University campus, which is a part of the Texas Medical Center. The facility is quickly establishing itself as the portal through which government, universities, industry and international organizations come together in academia to address the health risks associated with long-duration spaceflight.
