Opportunity to Experience Genetic Counseling
We are offering a virtual half-day workshop for individuals interested in the profession of genetic counseling. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet Baylor College of Medicine faculty and alumni in this interactive workshop. This will be a first come-first served registration process. We anticipate engaging 30 individuals for a meeting that will occur Aug. 12, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. CST. This meeting will be geared towards individuals who are interested in, and passionate about, genetic counseling. If we have more than 30 registrants, we will place you on a waiting list and will explore whether we will increase capacity. Here is a draft agenda:
- A day in the Life of a Genetic Counselor (Four different specialty areas)
- Pedigree Workshop
- Patients as Teachers Panel
- Conversations with Genetic Counselors in a variety of Practice areas
- Genetic Counseling Program Information
Email Dan Riconda at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are unable to register and would like to be placed on the waiting list.
