Infectious Disease Interest Group

The goal of the Infectious Disease Interest Group is to promote the field of infectious disease to the students of Baylor College of Medicine through learning opportunities and mentorship with the goal of advancing the next generation of infectious disease physicians.

The group organizes a bimonthly lecture series throughout the year with topics including residency and career planning, emerging issues in the field, and infectious disease high-yield review sessions.

The group promotes numerous learning opportunities in infectious disease within the Texas Medical Center, including the weekly Citywide Infectious Disease Conference and the weekly Infectious Diseases Journal Club.

The Infectious Disease Interest Group aims to provide one-on-one mentorship with Section of Infectious Disease faculty members to students who wish to pursue a career in infectious disease.
