Investigating Behavior and Cognition Through Brain-Imaging (H-48651)

Description

Content

In this research study we are seeking patients who have Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease, or FrontoTemporal Dementia ((FDP) a gradual progressive decline in behavior, language or movement). Patient with these diseases tend to experience mood issues such as loss of motivation. In this study, we are looking at brain scans to determine which areas of the brain relate to the way you make decisions. This information will help us design better treatments for this.

This study does not involve treatment. The purpose of this study is to gather information from completion of a computer task called "the apple gathering task" and brain imaging to identify changes in the brain that can cause particular behaviors. We hope that information from this study will help us design better treatments for some of the mood issues caused by your condition.
