Initiatives
In alignment with Baylor College of Medicine’s mission, vision and values, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives are developed and implemented by stakeholders and organizations throughout the College that include the Inclusion and Equity Faculty and Staff Ambassadors, the Inclusion and Excellence Council, Baylor COATS, and councils, task forces and committees within schools and departments. Initiatives are intended to broaden the pathway for individuals who are underrepresented in medicine and science to pursue careers in healthcare and research, ensure patients from different backgrounds have access to healthcare services, promote employment opportunities at Baylor to diverse populations of Houston, and use small and diverse companies for the College’s supply needs.
