The International Services Office (requires Baylor login) facilitates programs that allow the legal admission of international students, scholars, trainees, visitors and faculty to the United States to participate in programs of research, education and clinical services.

The ISO provides assistance to approximately 300 M.D., Ph.D., health professions and medical elective students annually. It also serves as a resource on immigration matters for Baylor College of Medicine and acts as a liaison to those federal agencies concerned with matters related to international students and scholars studying and working at the College.

International students are provided with advice and documentation necessary to maintain their legal status in the United States. In consultation with faculty and administration, the ISO determines the visa and employment options for international students, scholars, visitors and employees that will permit the greatest benefit and flexibility to Baylor and to the individual. Staff members also provide assistance to international students and visitors with adjusting to life in the United States.
