Professional Statement
My expertise is in geriatric medicine and healthcare improvement research. I have the privilege of leading over 30 interprofessional faculty and staff in the Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine section in the clinical, education and research missions of BCM. In addition, I have educational leadership roles in Geriatrics and training Learning Healthcare System scholars. My federally-funded research program develops and tests decision-making interventions to improve the outcomes of older adults with multiple morbid conditions. Most importantly, I provide medical care for older patients at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.Websites
