Professional Statement

I focus on building metabolic models for members of the human nasal microbiome to predict key metabolites involved in microbe-microbe interaction. This includes common nasal bacteria such as Corynebacterium species, Dolosigranulum pigrum, and Staphylococcus aureus. Predicted metabolic interactions will inform testable hypotheses about topics of interest such as microbe-microbe metabolic interactions, population dynamics and the composition of chemically defined media.
