Professional Statement

Joshua Muniz was born in Cleveland, OH and spent most of his life in the Chicagoland area. He has a penchant for big cities, living in New York City and Chicago for his undergrad and medical school training.

He made the jump to the South for the Med-Peds program at Baylor. He loved the ability to work at multiple hospitals with a focus on underserved patients.

Josh is currently interested in a career in malignant hematology, and he is deciding how to best incorporate his Med-Peds training into this endeavor. Regardless of what he decides, Josh is certain that advocacy and working with underserved populations, specifically Latinx populations, will be a big part of it. In the meantime, he is excited to explore the 4th largest city in the US and enjoy a break from the snow.
