All graduates of U.S.-accredited medical or osteopathic schools and ECFMG-approved foreign medical schools are invited to apply to our residency program. Applications are accepted only through the Electronic Residency Application Service. Applicants may begin applying as soon as ERAS opens, generally in September.

Our deadline for submission of all required application documents is Oct. 1, 2024.

The program is open to U.S. citizens, permanent U.S. immigrants and international applicants as follows:

Graduates of medical schools in the United States and Canada

Graduates of medical schools outside the United States and Canada who meet one of the following qualifications.

  1. Have a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
  2. Have successfully completed a Fifth Pathway program provided by an LCME-accredited medical school.

H1B visas are not sponsored by BCM for Graduate Medical Education.

Additional documentation requirements may be found on the BCM Graduate Medical Education web page. Applicants who are not ECFMG certified at the time their application is submitted will not be considered for interview. Multiple attempts at passing USMLE will reduce the applicants’ chance of being offered an interview. Prior clinical experience is not required.

International Medical Graduates

All international medical graduates must be ECFMG-certified at the time of application to be considered for an interview. No U.S. clinical experience is required.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is considered on a case-by-case basis and is neither implied nor guaranteed. Should we consider visa sponsorship, we will only sponsor J-1 visas.

Thanks for your interest in the BCM OB/GYN Residency Program. Applicants will be contacted via Interview Broker if selected for an interview. Interview dates and times are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Approximately 25 applicants are scheduled to interview per day during our half-day sessions. Interview dates fill quickly, so please apply early. All interviews will be virtual. 

The following is information about interview season communication. Communication around your interest in interviewing with our program (via personal email or through faculty mentors) outside of the new secondary application (aka 'signal') will be reviewed, time permitting. Please DO NOT send multiple emails.  

After interviewing, if you would like to send a thank you to your interviewers, you are welcome to do so via email or handwritten letter. Post-interview communication will be reviewed, time permitting.

Second look opportunity information is pending. We do not permit on-campus tours. We will NOT proactively reach out to you concerning our rank list and, time permitting, will respond to post-interview communication that you initiated.
