Poll Everywhere is an online service that allows teachers to ask their students a question. The students answer the question using their mobile phones, Twitter, or web browsers. Both the question and the students' responses are displayed live in Keynote, PowerPoint, and/or on the web.

Poll Everywhere is a web-based audience response system lets speakers embed interactive activities directly into a presentation. This enables the audience to respond on the web or via SMS texting on their phones.
To request your PollEv license, email your BCM email address to the Ed-Tech Staff. Use this account for all your BCM activities as it gives you more possibilities than your private “free” account.
Poll Everywhere will email you a link, click on the link and you will be guided to the PollEv start page.
Create your profile in “my settings, personal info.” To log into your account you need your BCM email address and a password; for your audience to participate in your poll, you need to provide a user name. This user name is automatically created by the software but you can change it to an “easy-to-type” name.
On the left side of the screen, you see “download the app.” Make your selections (PowerPoint or Google slides, PC or MAC) and download the appropriate .exe file by clicking on it, then let it install on your computer.
Open PowerPoint: you now see a “Poll Everywhere” key at the top right of your tool bar (MAC: as a plug-in).
Open the tab, select “Log in” and log in with your BCM email address and password IMPORTANT: When you use a different device (e.g. the computer in your lecture hall): a) make sure the App is downloaded to its PowerPoint software, and b) you need to login in PowerPoint (not in your PollEv account)! Do not forget to log out of PowerPoint when done.
