Mentored Medical Student Receives STS Scholarship

Baylor College of Medicine student, Ethan D'Silva has been chosen to be a Looking to the Future Scholar in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for the 2021 year. For this nomination, Ethan was sponsored by Dr. Scott LeMaire, professor and vice-chair for Research in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery and member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.  As a recipient of this scholarship, Ethan will be able to attend society's annual meeting being held virtually January 29-31 2021. Additional scholarship benefits include a one-on-one virtual mentoring with a cardiothoracic surgeon mentor and access to special program designed specifically for the scholars.
