William Frankel, M.D. candidate at Baylor College of Medicine, has been accepted into the American Association for Thoracic Surgery Member for a Day Program. This program takes place during the virtual AATS 101st Annual Meeting, and is aimed at letting medical students, early career surgeons, and physician scientists network, build relationships, and offer insight into the cardiothoracic surgical community. 
 
William is a current applicant for the integrated cardiothoracic surgery residency programs and aspires to be an academic cardiac surgeon. His career interests include adult congenital cardiac surgery and device development/innovation. His faculty mentors are Dr. Scott A. LeMaire, professor and vice-chair for research in the Department of Surgery and Dr. Joseph S. Coselli, professor and chief of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery and vice-chair in the Department of Surgery.
