Professional Statement

In 1999, I joined Baylor College of Medicine as a receptionist and office assistant for the Center for Educational Outreach. Over time, my responsibilities and skillset have developed considerably. While working full-time, I earned a master’s degree in business administration and graduate certificates in leadership and finance from the University of Houston-Downtown. I also am certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt.


My current role is Administrator for Baylor’s Department of Education, Innovation, and Technology (EIT). In this position, I serve as administrative leader and senior management advisor to the Department Chair. Responsibilities include generating, managing, and interpreting strategic information; providing financial management and accountability for Department resources; and establishing and maintaining administrative infrastructure for faculty, staff, and trainees. I strive at all times to support BCM’s values; contribute to an effective learning environment, and promote a culture of professionalism and excellence within our Department and across the College.
