Biology of Inflammation Center Grand Rounds

The Biology of Inflammation Center helps to support a research seminar as part of the BCM Graduate Program in Immunology and Microbiology. Grand Rounds, held every Tuesday at 4 p.m., focus on recent advances in the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of allergy and immunologic diseases. This conference is attended by faculty as well as fellows, residents, medical, research staff, and medical and graduate students. Presentations are made by Baylor College of Medicine faculty as well as visiting professors. These forums summarize practical applications of the basic knowledge of immunity in clinical medicine while updating fundamentals in immunology, and note advances in immunological issues.

Immunology Grand Rounds, held the first Tuesday of each month, focus on recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of allergy and immunologic diseases. Rheumatology Grand Rounds, held quarterly, are attended by faculty and trainees. The conferences provide education in basic and clinical science topics specified in the core curriculum and provide trainees with an opportunity to develop their communication and resource skills.
