Lasers and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) machines have a unique ability to specifically target cosmetically bothersome blood vessels in the skin. This property allows for safe, effective and rapid treatment of redness and blood vessels with few side effects. After a consultation we will recommend the right machine for your type of blood vessels and skin type. Sunblock before and after treatment is recommended.

Pulsed Dye Laser (Candela V-Beam) 
Pros: Effective for redness, small vessels and some larger vessels. Long track record of safety and effectiveness.
Cons: Variable bruising. Variable temporary swelling. May leave lacy pattern of redness needing further treatment.

Nd: Yag laser 
Pros: Effective for individual blood vessels. No bruising or downtime (mild redness). Only 1-2 treatments usually needed.
Cons: Not effective for fine redness or very fine vessels. Rarely can cause a blister or scar.

Fotofacial (Lumenis One IPL) 
Pros: Removes brown spots and redness over large areas. Minimal bruising or downtime (usually). We own the Lumenis One (state-of-the-art technology).
Cons: 2-3 sessions typically needed.
