Content

The Medicine-Pediatrics (Med-Peds) Endocrinology Program at Baylor College of Medicine is an innovative pathway for dual adult and pediatric endocrinology fellowship training. This program provides Med-Peds trained physicians a structured fellowship in order to become dual board certified in adult and pediatric endocrinology.

The pathway is a partnership between the fellowship programs of the Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the Department of Medicine and the Division of Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor. Both of these subspecialty training programs are accredited through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. These two programs have a history of training excellent combined Med-Peds endocrine fellows and are strongly committed to training future generations of Med-Peds endocrine fellows.

Baylor College of Medicine is one of the nation's leading centers for endocrine and diabetes education, research, and clinical care of patients of all ages. At Baylor, Med-Peds endocrine fellows have the opportunity for extraordinary clinical training by expert clinicians at affiliated hospitals with diverse and large patient population. These clinical training sites are Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Texas Children’s Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Ben Taub Hospital, and the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center. In addition, nationally renowned basic science and clinical researchers provide mentorship for fellows’ research endeavors and scholarly activities.
