Dr. Keswani to Serve on NIH Study Section

Dr. Sundeep Keswani, professor in the Division of Pediatric Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, has been appointed to serve as a member of the Arthritis, Connective Tissue, and Skin Study Section for the NIH Center for Scientific Review. The study section reviews grant applications submitted to the NIH and then makes recommendations on those applications. Dr. Keswani was chosen for this membership because of his demonstrated history of high value research and achievement in his scientific discipline. 

Dr. Keswani is a member of the pediatric surgery and fetal surgery team at Texas Children’s Hospital where he holds the Clayton Endowed Chair for Surgical Research and is the principle investigator for the Texas Children’s Laboratory for Regenerative Tissue Repair. His NIH-funded laboratory studies the molecular mechanisms of regenerative fetal tissue repair and is actively developing novel therapeutics to achieve postnatal regenerative wound healing.
