Professional Statement
Dr. Arunima Misra is an Associate Professor, as well as the Co-Director for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program, at Baylor College of Medicine. She is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology.Dr. Misra earned her medical degree from the University of Texas, Southwestern in Dallas, TX, where she also completed her residency. She subsequently completed fellowships in Cardiology Research, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Clinical Cardiology at UT Southwestern and Baylor College of Medicine.
She is an academic cardiologist with clinical interests in echocardiography, multimodality cardiac imaging, stress testing, heart failure and valve disease. Dr. Misra has a deep commitment to teaching all levels of learners, receiving numerous teaching awards over her career. She is involved in various professional societies, as well as many clinical trials to extend therapeutic options in cardiology for all patients including under-represented populations and veterans.
