Professional Statement
Dr. Kyler Shin was born in Houston and raised in Chicago. After spending his entire educational journey in Illinois, he was beyond excited to match into BCM's radiology residency and return to the city where it all began. He is one of four residents in the Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) pathway, which will prepare him for a 1-year independent IR residency upon graduation in 2027.In his spare time, Dr. Shin loves exploring the Houston food scene as well as swimming, tennis, pickleball, playing piano, and creating musical content from mashups to original electronic dance music remixes. He also tries to enjoy the rollercoaster of emotions associated with being a longtime Chicago sports fan, and he has taken a new liking to Houston's teams, especially after attending the Astros' 2022 World Series parade.
