Dr. Steve Caloudas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, Innovation, and Technology at Baylor College of Medicine and the Director of Discovery, Integration, Success, Community and Outreach (DISCO) Programs in the Office of Student Affairs. He is a licensed psychologist, receiving his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston and completing predoctoral internship at the University of Missouri – Columbia Counseling Center. He completed an Advanced Fellowship in Health Professions Education, Evaluation, and Research (HPEER) at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and Baylor College of Medicine Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness, and Safety (IQuESt). Dr. Caloudas spent seven years in private practice as a licensed clinician. Dr. Caloudas has a passion for student success and engagement, as evidenced by his background in university counseling centers and his prior faculty roles at Bushnell University (formerly Northwest Christian University) in Eugene, Oregon and University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, As Director of Discovery, Integration, Success, Community and Outreach (DISCO) Programs, he is especially interested in the development and implementation of novel programs intended to promote and facilitate the academic success of medical students.Memberships
