- Dr. Ang Li, Assistant Professor, Hematology and Oncology, received the 2024 ASH Junior Faculty Scholar Award in clinical research from the American Society of Hematology.
- Dr. Ang Li (PI - Assistant Professor, Section of Hematology/ Oncology), and Dr. Chao Cheng (co-PI - Associate Professor, Section of Epidemiology and Population Sciences) from BCM have won a grant from the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center (DLDCCC) Bench to Bedside Research Program for their project titled "Discovery/Validation of Plasma Proteomic Biomarkers to Complement Clinical Risk Prediction Models for Cancer Associated Thrombosis" (Funding period - 1 year, Funding Amount - $100,000).
- Dr. Abiodun Oluyomi (Principal Investigator - Assistant Professor, Section of Epidemiology and Population Sciences), Dr. Ang Li (co-PI - Assistant Professor, Section of Hematology/ Oncology), and Dr. Bo Peng (co-investigator - Associate Professor, Section of Epidemiology and Population Sciences) from BCM have won a grant from AIM AHEAD Consortium Development Research Program for their project "Utilizing ethical artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) to assess and address disparity in underserved cancer patients across multiple healthcare systems with diverse social determinants of health." (Funding period - 2 years, Funding Amount - $1,000,000).
