Our faculty and staff are highly collaborative, with diverse projects that include microbial ecology and model systems, immunology, cell biology, genetics and genomics, metabolomics, epidemiology and systems engineering. As microbiome research matures, it is leading to a major reassessment of biological processes within the human body. Our laboratories are focused on understanding the important microbial-host interactions and the opportunity for clinical interventions to affect human health.
