Administrative Core

The Administrative Core oversees the administration of funds within the center and harmonizes the workflows within and between the center’s cores. The core also helps organize outreach strategy to recruit community-based nominations of human allele variants.

Clinical Translational Core

The Clinical Translational Core coordinates variant nominations, reviews phenotype information, collects and reviews medical records (if needed), and facilitates the review of nominations to the center.

Bioinformatics Core

The Bioinformatics Core provides a bioinformatics environment for the evaluation of nominated variants and assists with analysis of human-model multi-omics data. The core supports the database management and data visualization and dissemination needs of the center.

Disease Modeling Unit

The Disease Modeling Unit is responsible for producing and phenotyping the center’s precision fly and mouse models of human disease-associated genetic variation. Moreover, the unit assesses whether a rhesus macaque spontaneous mutation model is available in the national primate colonies.

Resources and Services Core

The Resources and Services Core evaluates and breeds animal models of the highest quality and distribute these resources to the community. The core functions as the primary contact for outside investigators seeking access to our services and animal resources.
