Announcement: New Interim Co-Directors of Global Programs
We are excited to welcome Maria Elena Bottazzi, Ph.D., and Rachel Wilkins Davis, M.D., FACS, as our new interim Co-Directors of Global Programs! Dr. Bottazzi is an internationally recognized scientist whose work has advanced global vaccine development and strengthened capacity-building efforts worldwide, and Dr. Davis brings extensive expertise in clinical leadership and global surgical training, shaping programs that elevate standards of care across diverse settings.
As a team, they bring decades of experience and vision that will define the next chapter of Global Programs, driving innovation, collaboration, and impact across our global initiatives.
Our Mission and Vision
Baylor College of Medicine Global Programs was established in July 2014 as an administrative division to govern all of Baylor College of Medicine’s international programs and initiatives. Our mission is to make meaningful and lasting contributions to healthcare through innovation and research, training, and patient care. Our vision is to enhance Baylor College of Medicine’s reputation as a leading health sciences university through global health innovation and training.
