Punam Amin, M.D., (formerly Punam Parikh) is a colorectal surgeon in Houston, Texas.Dr. Amin completed an accelerated, combined B.S./M.D. track and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Miami in 2009. She then finished medical school at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine in 2014.
During medical school, her interest in research led her to pursue a one-year clinical research fellowship within the DeWitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery. She published a dozen peer-review publications in endocrine and pediatric surgery, focusing on clinical outcomes research and received a General Surgery Clinical Science Research award for her work.
