Investigators in the Baylor College of Medicine Hearing and Balance Center study the intersection of hearing loss pathophysiology and natural history, along with surgical and medical means used to rehabilitate hearing loss.

Active research projects are focused on optimal delivery of rehabilitative care through innovative approaches and improved care paradigms developed in a multidisciplinary manner with collaborators from BCM and other TMC institutions such as the University of Houston and Rice University.
