Waqas graduated from the Quaid-e-Azam Medical College in Bahawalpur Pakistan in 1998. He did a Postdoc Research fellowship at Drexel Univ. College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA in 2004-2005. He did his initial training in Surgery at Hahnemann Univ. Hospital, DUCOM, Philadelphia in 2007. He later worked in CT ICU for a few years before he completed his residency in Anesthesiology in 2013-2016. He then went into private practice at Deborah Heart and Lung center in New Jersey. After six years of private practice, Waqas decided to pursue a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at BCM. He is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and a Testamur, National Board of Echocardiography Basic PTEeXAM and is currently in the process of completing his Advanced PTEeXAM.
Natalie graduated from Brock Univ. in St. Catharines, Canada, after achieving her Bachelor's and Master's in Science. She subsequently completed her Medical Degree from Jagiellonian Univ. Medical College in Krakow, Poland, where she had the opportunity to not only study medicine at one of the oldest universities in Europe, but also travel and immerse herself in various cultures. She went on to complete her Anesthesiology residency at Loyola Univ. Medical College in Chicago where her exposure to cardiac, transplant, mechanical support devices and overall, critically ill patients, ignited her passion for Critical Care Medicine and CV Anesthesia which she has decided to pursue at BCM as a dual fellow.
