Admissions Process
Admission requirements: School of Medicine and PGY 1.
The Department of Dermatology accepts applications for residency positions each autumn. The application deadline is Nov. 1 of each year. Training begins the second academic year following the application deadline.
We have the following positions for the upcoming NRMP match cycle. Four A-Advanced positions.
Please note that Baylor College of Medicine participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service program run by the American Association of Medical Colleges. Applications will not be reviewed until they are complete.
Baylor dermatology also participates exclusively in the Main Match in connection with the NRMP. Please make sure to include your NRMP number on your ERAS application.
In a typical interview cycle, we interview approximately 40-50 applicants. All interviews will be virtual and we participate in program signaling and coordinated interview releases.
Unfortunately, we are not currently accepting applications from international medical graduates or visa sponsorship applicants.

Benefits
See stipends and benefit information on the Baylor College of Medicine’s graduate medical education website. Stipend levels are at the national average, but Houston's cost of living ranks among the lowest of metropolitan areas in the United States.
Maintaining your physical and emotional wellness is a prerequisite to professional success. Our residents have access to a number of programs to support their well-being. View wellness resources.
Information about vacation and leave of absences is available on the graduate medical education website.
Attendance at American Academy of Dermatology conferences is also supported by the program. First-year residents attend half the conference and second- and third-year residents attend the full conference.
