The Movement Disorders Fellowship accepted the first fellow in 1985 and has been approved as a two-year fellowship by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.

Applicants to Baylor’s MDFTP must have completed an ACGME-accredited program in neurology or an equivalent (i.e. foreign training program). At any time there are up to five fellows enrolled in the MDFTP and, depending on available funding two-four new fellows are accepted each academic year.
