  1. Fundamentals of Clinical Investigation (3 credit hours, August, Monday-Thursday, 5:30-7:30 p.m.) during Year Two of the fellowship.
  2. Clinical Investigation for Career Scientist and Research Seminar (5 credit hours, August-May, Monday, Wednesday, 4-5:30 p.m.) during Year Two of fellowship.
  3. Optional courses:

    2. Translational Biostatistics (3 credit hours, 3 hours/week, August-May) during Year Two of fellowship, a research year.

All the above courses will assist the fellow in the development of a research thesis and in the selection of an appropriate research/career mentor. The REI thesis review committee will follow the fellows during their thesis development and submission. This can also culminate in the writing and submitting of a K23 grant, a mentored career development award that will outline the fellow’s research project.

The third year of the fellowship will be dedicated to mandatory clinical work for 6 months and to completion of research and relevant elective clinical work (collectively 6 months).

In general, space allocated to the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility is integrated within the main research facilities of the department for optimal research administration and resource sharing.

The IVF, Hormone Assay and Andrology Laboratory on the campus of the Woman's Hospital provides a site for training fellows in IVF and hormone assays.
