Facility Information
The Alford Educational Center is a state-of-the-art facility that serves as a hub for local, regional, national, and international partners in developing and presenting outstanding educational programs that utilize the latest educational methods and interactive technologies to join faculty, students, and patients at all levels in effective learning communities.
In support of its mission, the center maintains facilities and resources for on-site and distance learning.
Center Features
Serving as the central meeting space for the McNair Campus, the center, located on the 1st floor, comprises five conference rooms. One large room, which can be broken into two separate areas, has a seating capacity of either 50 per room or a total of 100. Three smaller rooms are available with a capacity for 10-20 individuals.
The center also provides:
- A comprehensive suite of internet and telepresence options for local and international collaboration
- Live video feeds from surgical suites in the clinical expansion, for the benefit of Baylor trainees
- Breakout rooms for visiting lecturers and clinicians
- A gallery featuring Baylor clinicians whose work has been recognized with excellence in patient care awards.
