Patient safety inspires us to create and deliver outstanding simulation learning experiences
We use state-of-the-art simulation devices, exceptional standardized patients, and authentic settings to engage learners in purposeful practice essential to becoming skilled clinical practitioners who can provide superior, patient-centered care.
Our learning spaces include simulated patient exam rooms, operating rooms, emergency rooms, and virtual reality training rooms. Equipped with high-fidelity simulation trainers and actual healthcare equipment and supplies, our learning environments make complete immersion into the simulated healthcare experience possible.
COVID-19 Guidelines (Summer-Fall 2021)
- Occupancy: Maximum occupancy guidelines for our labs remain in effect to ensure optimal learner experience. In addition, non-vaccinated participants must practice six-foot physical distancing as much as possible.
- Cleaning: We have suspended the requirement for cleaning between learner groups; however, the labs are wiped down (per CDC guidelines) between lab events.
- Masks: Vaccinated Baylor faculty, staff, learners, all non-vaccinated participants and visitors (contract employees, vendors and industry representatives) must wear masks when inside Baylor buildings and our labs.
