Baylor College of Medicine ranked third among 2021 healthiest workplaces in America
Baylor College of Medicine was ranked third as one of the 2021 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America and first in Texas in the extra-large employer category by Healthiest Employers. The annual awards honor organizations that are demonstrating care for their employees by investing in health and well-being solutions and initiatives.
Judging is based on an organization's Healthiest Employers Index, a metric based on six categories: culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communications and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analytics.
A part of Baylor’s wellness resources is the BCM BeWell program, which offers onsite, offsite and virtual opportunities for employees and covered family members to participate in events, programs and workshops geared toward improving overall health. Baylor also collaborates with Vitality Group, which specializes in corporate health and wellness using technology and incentive programs.
“From research and patient care to training the next generation of scientists and medical professionals, focusing on our Baylor employee’s health and well-being is integral to continue carrying out the mission and vision of the College,” said Joe Doty, chief operating officer for Baylor.
