BCM named Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America for the eighth year
Baylor College of Medicine has been recognized in the 2022 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America, an awards program created to honor people-first organizations that prioritize the well-being of their employee populations.
The BCM Well-Being initiative within the Office of Human Resources uses theoretical frameworks and evidence-based practices to provide resources, initiatives and opportunities to help its community grow and thrive. The initiative encompasses BCM BeWell for employees, BCM LIFE for students and the Well-Being Center, an on-site gym.
Earlier this year, Baylor was inducted into the inaugural Healthiest Employers Hall of Fame and ranked second in Texas among organizations with 10,000-plus employees.
“The Baylor community must ensure that we value our own health and well-being so that we can carry out the institution’s mission and vision of improving health through science, scholarship and innovation,” said Dane Friend, chief human resources officer for Baylor College of Medicine. “Data shows that highly engaged participants in the BeWell program have positive outcomes in many health-related areas.”
