E. Ramsay Camp, M.D., professor and chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine, has been named to the Olga Keith Wiess Chair of Surgery. This esteemed endowment pledges the longstanding commitment of Olga Keith Wiess to further enhance the teaching, research, and public service programs in the Department of Surgery at the College.

Dr. Camp is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of various prestigious oncology societies including the American Surgical Associate and Society of Surgical Oncology. Dr. Camp has extensive expertise in mechanisms of chemotherapy and radiation resistance in pancreatic and colorectal cancer. His career has been marked by consistent efforts and achievements in the area of research with numerous on-going and complete projects serving as a Principle Investigator and Co-Investigator. His work in the field of surgical oncology, cancer research and surgical research has been extensively published.

Dr. Camp joins Dr. Alastair Thompson, professor and chief of the Section of Breast Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine, as an Olga Keith Wiess Chair of Surgery.
