Dr. Fisher Elected Secretary for Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Staff
Dr. William E. Fisher, professor and vice-chair for clinical affairs at Baylor College of Medicine, has been named secretary for the Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center’s medical staff. In this new role, Dr. Fisher will serve as the chair of the Bylaws Revision Committee, call medical staff meetings, record attendance, attend to all correspondence on behalf of the medical staff, ensure that all minutes and correspondence are available to the Board, and performs the customary functions of the treasurer of the medical staff.
Dr. Fisher is internationally known as a leader in pancreatic surgery. Over the last 20 years, he has built of the of the largest clinical programs for the treatment of pancreatic disease in southeast Texas with great outcomes. He has also significantly impacted numerous surgery residents and junior faculty who have done on to make their own contributions to American surgery.
