Dr. James Suliburk, associate professor and chief of endocrine surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology, has been inducted into the American College of Surgeons Academy of Master Surgeon Educators. The goal of the academy is to play a leadership role in pioneering the science and skill set of education across all surgical specialties. ACS aims to do this through steering advances within the specific field, fostering research and partnerships, supporting faculty growth and recognition, emphasizing education and bedside manner within the healthcare system.
 
In addition to this great honor, Dr. Suliburk is also a member of the American Thyroid Association, American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, and Association of Academic Surgeons.
