McNair Campus
Baylor College of Medicine is building for the future of healthcare. Its new model of health care delivery on the McNair Campus will provide a system that focuses on exceptional care at the best value . . . a system that makes sense to patients from the time they call for an appointment until their care is completed.
Putting patients first
"Our McNair Campus is beautiful. Our buildings are superb. But what will set us apart as we move forward is the way we treat our patients. That is our highest priority. This is what Baylor College of Medicine will be known for—putting patients first," according to Dr. Paul Klotman, president and CEO at the College.
Located on a 35-acre tract adjacent to the DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center and inclose proximity to the Texas Medical Center, the McNair Campus already boasts the Lee and Joe Jamail Specialty Care Center, which is fully occupied with six adult practices. Exceptional facilities
By fall of 2013, the first phase of the buildout of the Baylor College of Medicine Medical Center will be complete. This phase, in an estimated 185,000 square feet of space on three floors, will provide the space needed for continued growth of the College’s clinical activities. Specialty care areas will include Orthopedics, Spine Service and Rheumatology, Urology and Gastroenterology. The NCI-designated Cancer Center, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Otolaryngology and Cardiology will follow in the subsequent phase. See Building Specifics.
The College's research and education missions eventually will be added to the McNair Campus, keeping BCM at the forefront of health care innovations.
