Professional Statement
Abdi Rasekh is an interventional cardiologist and electrophysiologist. He received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Paris XIII where his thesis won the Bronze Medical Award for Clinical Research. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Graduate Hospital of University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Baylor College of Medicine and served as the chief interventional cardiology fellow at the Texas Heart Institute. He completed a clinical electrophysiology fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute in 1999.Dr. Rasekh's interest include sudden cardiac death, atrial fibrillation, ablation of arrhythmias, device therapy for congestive heart failure and management of coronary artery disease. He has been the author and co-author of several articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. Dr. Rasekh is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is a fellow of American College of Cardiology. He is also a member of Heart Rhythm Society.
