Professional Statement
Bahar Kapoor Force, MD, FACE, FEAA, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at Baylor College of Medicine, where she also serves as Associate Program Director for the Endocrinology Fellowship Program. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she was selected as Chief Resident, followed by fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at Baylor College of Medicine, serving as Chief Fellow.Dr. Force is a neuroendocrinologist with particular expertise in the diagnosis and management of pituitary disorders, including hypopituitarism, pituitary adenomas, stalk lesions, craniopharyngiomas, prolactinomas, Cushing disease, and acromegaly. As Medical Director of the Baylor Medicine Pituitary Center, she leads a high‑volume multidisciplinary program that integrates Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, Neuro‑ophthalmology, Radiology, and Pathology to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care for patients with complex sellar and parasellar disease. Her clinical work includes both outpatient neuroendocrinology and peri‑operative inpatient management of patients undergoing endoscopic endonasal pituitary surgery.
She also has an interest in treating patients with general endocrine disorders such as thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal gland disorders as well as osteoporosis and diabetes. She provides endocrine care at Harris Health facilities such as Gulfgate Clinic, Smith Clinic and Ben Taub General Hospital.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Force is deeply committed to medical education. She has held progressive leadership roles throughout her faculty career, including Core Faculty and now Associate Program Director. She is recognized for her teaching excellence, receiving multiple educator awards from trainees. She regularly teaches across the medical school, residency, and fellowship levels and leads multidisciplinary neuroradiology rounds within the endocrine fellowship curriculum.
Dr. Force is an active member of several national endocrine societies, including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, the Endocrine Society, and the Pituitary Society. She is a Fellow of both the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (FACE) and the Endocrine Alliance Academy (FEAA). Her scholarly work includes peer‑reviewed publications, book chapters, and invited presentations at regional and national meetings, with a focus on pituitary disease and neuroendocrine disorders.
Through her combined roles in clinical care, education, and program leadership, Dr. Force is dedicated to advancing high‑quality, patient‑centered neuroendocrine care and training the next generation of endocrinologists.
