Dr. Patel is an Assistant Professor in the department of neurology. She completed her Multiple Sclerosis fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, and sees patients with multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and other CNS inflammatory conditions in the Maxine Mesinger MS Center at the McNair clinic. She also provides care for veterans with multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunological/ neuroinflammatory issues at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medicine Center (MEDVAMC). Dr. Patel sees women with neurologic issues in pregnancy at the McNair clinic and also provides services at the Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic at The Pavilion for Women (TCH). Dr. Patel’s clinical interests include multiple sclerosis, neurologic issues affecting pregnant women (obstetric neurology), NMOSD, MOGAD and other CNS inflammatory conditions.
