Professional Statement
I am an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine with an interest in leveraging data networks to develop innovative healthcare solutions that align community-focused care with the infrastructure of health organizations. Prior to starting a Baylor College of Medicine, I was a Science of Diversity in Clinical Trials Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the American Heart Association (AHA) administered by Stanford University School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine, where I conducted evidence-based studies on the most effective strategies to recruit and retain diverse participants in cardiovascular clinical trials, aiming to improve the quality and equity of health care outcomes. I am passionate about health reform, health policy and implementation, and addressing health disparities within the built environment, and my goal is to enhance the healthcare experience of patients and clinicians with a focus on telehealth, data-driven solutions, alternative payment methods, and community needs assessment and action. With a background in Internal Medicine, public health, and global health, I have a holistic and interdisciplinary perspective on health care delivery and policy.Selected Publications
