Mariella M. Self is currently an assistant professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine. She has been a member of the Baylor Faculty since 2006. Her clinical time is spent as a pediatric psychologist at Texas Children’s Hospital, where she provides outpatient psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and families, conducts inpatient consultations for medically hospitalized children/adolescents, engages in liaison development with subspecialty services, and participates in multidisciplinary clinics (e.g., Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes; Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis). Dr. Self completed her undergraduate education at University of North Texas, receiving a B.S. degree in Psychology magna cum laude. She received her graduate education in the Clinical Psychology program at Texas A&M University and completed her pre-doctoral clinical psychology internship at in the pediatric psychology track at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital. She also completed her post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital.Websites
