The CMR is a key leader for the program and acts as a liaison between leaders & administrators of the Department of Medicine, leaders & administrators of individual hospitals, and the residents. The chiefs work individually and as a team to provide leadership, and support of the key visions and goals of the IM residency program. They also function as mentors and advocates for the residents.
