Phillip Williams, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine in the Joseph Barnhart Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor Medicine. Dr. Williams earned an undergraduate degree in Political Science at Yale while competing on the track & field team. Afterward, he attended Harvard Medical School, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at Hospital for Surgery in New York. Dr. Williams completed additional training in Sports Medicine that included a fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute, where he had the opportunity to assist in the care of several professional sports teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Sparks, and the Los Angeles Galaxy.His clinical and research interests include ACL injury and prevention, joint preservation, biologics, and rotator cuff conditions. He utilizes novel techniques and innovations to relieve pain, restore function, and confidently return patients to their desired activities.
Outside of work, Dr. Williams enjoys running, golf, playing jazz piano, and coaching his kids' sports teams.
