Professional Statement
Dr. Abouleisa have earned a PharmD degree at Zagazig University, Egypt. Then she moved England where she achieved her Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biomedicine at Manchester University, England. Her Ph.D research training focused on calcium signaling during development of cardiac hypertrophy. Then Dr. Abouleisa achieved her postdoctoral training at University of Louisville, KY. Her project focused on identifying the molecular mechanisms that regulate cardiac regeneration. Dr. Abouleisa has joined Baylor College of Medicine in January 2024 as assistant professor. Her research projects focused on identifying the epigenetic and post translational modification in cardiomyocyte cell cycle.Websites
