Dr. Ruchi Gaba obtained her medical degree from University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) in New Delhi, India followed by residency in Internal Medicine at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and then fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) and has been faculty at BCM since 2015. Her clinical expertise include evaluation and treatment of patients with endocrine neoplasia especially advanced thyroid cancer in addition to a variety of complicated thyroid disorders like hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroid nodules/FNA and thyroid ds in pregnancy. As the co-director of the Thyroid and Parathyroid at Dan Duncan Cancer Center at BCM, she takes care of these patients with a multidisciplinary team including surgery, ENT, radiology, nuclear medicine and pathology. She also has vast clinical experience in taking care of patients with Atypical Diabetes like Ketosis Prone Diabetes and is actively involved in cutting edge research in the same. She is a proud recipient of the “Women in Excellence Award” for her exceptional contribution to the issues that affect women at BCM and in the larger community; now dedicated to access and equity in medical education and healthcare through transformative leadership and practice.Websites
